Learn about your local history! Every third Friday of the month, the Buffalo History Museum offers free admission. Docent-led tours will be available between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., and an activity for kids will take place at 3:00 p.m. It’s a great activity for the whole family.

Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Celebrate the winter season at Chillabration. Complete with activities for all ages, expect ice skating, live music, scavenger hunts, and plenty of food. This event is perfect fun for the whole family. This event is presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York.
When: January 17, 2016
Where: Shea’s Performing Arts Center
Hours: 2:00 p.m.
If you’re interested in old film, this event is perfect for you and the family. In honor of Shea’s 90th Anniversary, the 1922 version of Sherlock Holmes, starring John Barrymore, will be featured. To make the event even more special, the silent film will be accompanied with live music performed by Bruce Woody. Free and open to the public, this event is not to be missed!

Have an interest in poetry? Come to the Hamburg Public Library’s January poetry night. This month’s theme is “A Fresh Start.” Write your own, or find a piece that inspires you and sign up to read! Take note: while this event is open to all ages, it is catered to an adult demographic.
