Walk/Run/Roll in Lauren’s Shoes 5K

The 2^nd Annual “Walk/Run/Roll in Lauren’s Shoes 5K” is coming back to Woodlawn Beach Grove on Sunday, June 14^th! This is the perfect event for the whole family to enjoy together while helping to support a great cause!

The Walk/Run/Roll in Lauren’s Shoes 5K helps to raise money for cerebral palsy (CP) while enjoying a run or walk that could help change a life. You have the opportunity to wear ankle weights during your walk or run to help give you a sense of what it is like to live with CP. The weights help to represent the struggle that Lauren and other CP patients endure every day, since they have to work extra hard to simply take a few steps.

The race will start at 11 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. The run is followed by different family activities, including:

• Lemon Aide Stand
• Post Race Chiavetta’s Famous Chicken BB!
• Live Music by Heard of Buffalo
• Beer and Wine
• Family Entertainment
• Kids Zone
• Chinese/Silent Auction

All participants in the race will receive ankle weights, race bib, pre-race refreshments, and a post-race beer or lemonade. Everyone who pre-registers for the event before June 12^th is guaranteed an official race T-shirt. All additional T-shirts will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
