Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Buffalo, New York

Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon Background

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is here and the streets of New York are finally getting a little pinker! Niagara Square will be filled with thousands of research walk participants for the Making Strides of Buffalo event! On October 18th at 10:00am, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer will allow participants to celebrate survivorship and share hope for those affected by breast cancer. More than 300 communities and millions of participants nationwide will join forces to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.

This 5K, non-competitive event will only take a few hours of your time to promote a great cause. Whether you choose to walk as an individual, join a team, or make a team for the walk, your registration and participation will be awarded with a goodie bag filled of items and offers from corporate sponsors. If you do not want to walk in the event but are still looking to participate, you can join others on the American Cancer Society Volunteer Family in passing out waters and cheering on contestants.

This is truly an amazing event that allows New York residents to show their support for those affected by this heartbreaking disease. It will all be well worth it once you see the thankful faces of those who have survived and conquered breast cancer. A survivor celebration will take place at the Survivor Tent after the walk concludes.

Gather a group of friends or make it a family affair and participate in the Making Strides of Buffalo event!
